Someone just helped me with a Vlookup formula, but now I can't find it in the help screen. Can you see my previous chat? I had uploaded a small sample database to use. The ones I'm actually using have several thousand entries. I need the formula again. Hopefully it will work on spreadsheets of varying lengths. Here's my original question: I need a formula of some sort that will allow me to compare columns C and D on the Master list (sheet 1), with columns C and D on the (subset list) sheet 2. If they match, then copy the number from column E on sheet 1 to column E on sheet 2. If it doesn't match, then leave column E on sheet 2 blank.

Forgot to add a column to my vlookup problem that was just solved by one of your consultants. I also don't have the formula that was used so I'd like another vlookup AND be able to copy the formula. Thanks so much!!

I am using vlookup with two different formulas based on a cell value. For example if T26 has "UK", I need to vlookup in the UKSales sheet. If T26 has "NYC", then I need to vlookup in the NYC sheet. the two sheets are formatted slightly different so the vlookup formulas are different. How do I combine these into one formula for the whole spreadsheet instead of manually looking to see "okay, this one is UK - so I need to put in the vlookup for the UK info"?

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to write a formula. For example. I have two spreadsheets. On the first spreadsheet I have Fruit. On the second spread sheet I have fruit, the date it expires and how much it cost. I am trying to do a vlookup from the first spreadsheet of finding bananas to the second spreadsheet where it has to match the fruit bananas and then pull me back the cost for the banana with the expiration date between 3/1/18 and 3/1/18

HI, im having trouble with an excel formula, I wish to populate sheet 1 (which has drug names down the side and protein names along the top, with "fit" values in sheet 2. The fit values returned from sheet 2 should correspond to the top row of sheet 1 (e.g. 2bu5_v fit value, found in sheet 2 corresponding to 6-mna, should be returned in sheet 1 B4. and then so on and so forth to populate the entire sheet. I think a VLOOKUP function is required, but cant get it to work.....

I'm having trouble with vlookup two values. I need help to fix a logic check formula to compare two values, but pull one as text *1 to take formatting into account. I'm attempting '=IF(INDEX(TEXT(A16,"0"))*1)=(INDEX(C16)),"CORRECT","FAIL" but a VLOOKUP might work as effectively Relates to a significant excel bug - see sheet
