I have a source data sheet and I working on a summary sheet to pull data together. e.g.: Summary Tab Date range; 1.7.17 - 31.7.17 Shirts Dress Skirts On source document - I have individual lines which are coded to the above categories and other sub-categories, with delivery dates. the source doc dates range over 12 months I want to be able to paste in updated source data & have the summary page update - changing the date range above to move through months. The basic category SUMIF are fine. But when I need to sort by both the Category & then again by sub-cat I get error. I also need a formula that adds up only the numbers in that category with a delivery date within {that range}?? Can you help?

Hi, I have a SUMIF formula which matches to a series of numbers i.e: =SUMIF(E7:E200,"1.1",F7:F200) +SUMIF(E7:E200,"1.2",F7:F200) +SUMIF(E7:E200,"1.3",F7:F200) ect +SUMIF(E7:E200,"1.10",F7:F200) Problem i'm having is it cant distinguish between 1.1 and 1.10 it counts them both. I can omit 1.10 from the list but then i'll have to re-arrange all of my records. Ive tried changing the format to text, general, number and changing the amount of decimals but still doesn't distinguish between the two. Any ideas?

I have 10 worksheets that have identical row names and content. The columns are all dates. But each worksheet has a different date in column B. I want to consolidate those 10 worksheets into a consolidation tab such that the values in the columns will sum in the consolidated sheet based on matching up the specific date. The columns are headed with date values. I am trying to use the sumif function based on the criteria that the dates in the worksheets exactly match the date in the consolidated worksheet. Help

So here is my issue. I'm using excel to calculate out the debt service that I need to support a hypothetical development, and the sumif function doesn't seem to want to work given the formulas I've setup. So the debt service is a basic amortization table debt service table over 25 years. But for the development I only need to be worried about the debt service on the loan through the period that I'm doing the development. In this case 8 months of the 25 year time frame. To get the schedule I setup a schedule that returns period dates based on the month and year. I think referenced that date using the following function: =INDEX('Project Schedule'!$1:$1,MATCH(G4,'Project Schedule'!$2:$2))+1 This references the months in Row 2, and returns the Period Value in Row 1. In this case returning the value of 14. but when I use a basic SumIf function to sum the total cost of the payments into the loan, it returns a "zero" value. Here is my sumif function SUMIF(A10:A410,"<=F4",G10:G410) Now if I just replace F4 with the value 14 it works and calculates correctly, but if I reference the cell F4 it returns a zero value. My only thought is that the Index function screws this up, and doesn't actually return a number value. Your thoughts?

I have a countif formula that works just fine. Then I realized I needed a sumif formula to include the quantities. This works: =IF(COUNTIFS(SalesRaw!AA:AA,$X$1,SalesRaw!AB:AB,V4,SalesRaw!AC:AC,W4)=0,"",COUNTIFS(SalesRaw!AA:AA,$X$1,SalesRaw!AB:AB,V4,SalesRaw!AC:AC,W4)) This doesn't: =SUMIFS(SalesRaw!N3,SalesRaw!AA:AA,PriceListRaw!$X$1,SalesRaw!AB:AB,PriceListRaw!V3,SalesRaw!AC:AC,PriceListRaw!W3) can you explain why?

im using nested logic statements to then use a sumif function different columns based on a sku code. however, all codes share similar characters so the search function is getting confused. I need it to verify the specific arrangement of numbers not just that cell contains those numbers.
