I am trying to do a SUMIF calculation and when I hit insert function and then chose SUMIF it brings up 3 things: range, criteria and sum_range. I can properly select the data I want in there (ex: E2:E6) but I want to make it and absolute cell reference and I am using a mac so I highlight it and click command t but a "ding" noise pops up and it doesn't allow me to change it. I am not sure why. I am following along with an excel module program and the instructor does it frequently and it works every time for him. I have attached a file, and the first sheet is empty and the second sheet has the formula I am supposed to put in.

I can only make it work if I actually enter the value in col C into the fomula in col B separately on each line. Surely I can refer to the value in Col C then copy the formula down.
