HI, If this works to find a word within a cell… =ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C1,Sheet2!C$1)) Why doesn’t this… =ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C1,Sheet2!C:D,2)) … to find a word from within a range of cells, and return back a word from the 2nd column? Many thanks.

The data below should return all the data from columns K,M,O and Q from the tab “all” However, my formulas are only returning data from column K in the tab "all". I need to be able to input a given date and have a search done that returns the account balance for that given date, It will also search the (date, balance) data table for the closest date to the input date for each previous year and return the "account balance" data for each of the previous years for that date (or closest one to it) - also % change from year on year too.
