Attempting a complex formula: Table1 lists out skills in text and then in another column sums up multiple different modifier numbers for that skill, which are all listed out in subsequent separate columns for easy changing. It looks like: [climb | =sum() | # | # | # ]. Table2 has a list of skills and the # amount they modify; [climb | # ]. My goal: make a formula which will search the T2 skills list for matching skill text from T1, add up the multiple modifying numbers from T2 related to that text, and then enter that sum as a modifier # in T1, so it changes the =sum(). I want to be able to add to T2 later and still have T1 stay updated. Thnx

Attempting a complex formula: search a list of text from Table 2, if any of the T2 text = text from Table 1, find the numbers on the same rows as the T2 text, add them together if there is multiple entries, and enter into T1 as a single number. Make it such that if i added more text and numbers to T2, it would automatically update the number in T1. Thank you

Hi, I've just created a spreadsheet to keep track of scavenger hunt results. I have 7 columns and 210 rows. What I'm wanting to do is create a drop down arrow on the column header where they can type their name and it will result in bringing up all instances of that name (and all columns/rows that apply. This will allow them to search, and see how many items they have done already and what is still outstanding. They can also check on teammates by entering their name. It's like the name column in the Excel spreadsheet at work used for schedules. I just type my name and all my days and times are there and everyone else's information is gone.
