I have a very large excel spreadsheet consisting of copious amounts of data. To make a really long story short, I need to eliminate all single values in one particular column in my spreadsheet. By "single value" I am referring to single letters, such as "A", "B", "C" etc. These are the middle names of the spreadsheet, and I need to get rid of them for a specific column. Because there is so much data, it is unrealistic for me to do this manually. These single value letters are in the same column as regular word values with full last names, so I can't just delete the entire columns without getting rid of the regular names that I want to keep. So is there any kind of Excel function that allows me to delete the single values only? Thanks.

Hello, I have a large spreadsheet that lists police precincts, fire departments, hospitals, nursing homes and shelters for every zip code in New York City. Rather than have our nurses have to scroll through all of these zip codes to access this information for a particular zip code, I thought it would be preferable to write a short macro where you could just input the zip code you are looking for and the macro would find this line in the spreadsheet and list all of the information, i.e. precinct, fire station, etc. for that zip code on a separate "clean" sheet. Can you help me with this? Thank you.

I have a large training database, I am trying to figure out a way that a formula could look up based on 3 columns data and return a value. Column A - Names Column I - Training Course Name Column N - Training expiration date I would like it to look through the data and if a person has completed a type of training twice, which are both valid (as in expiration date less than today) it returns a word or value in another column (N) that indicates which one has the longest and therefore is more current.

I have a column of figures. I have used the formula =MAX(RANGE), then LARGE(RANGE,1) in another column array of cells.. I now want to return the cell-addresses of those reference-figures, in cells adjacent to each reference cell. The formula CELL("address",INDEX($Col.$Row:$Col.$Row,MATCH(Reference Cell,$Col$Row:$Col$Row,1))) returns the address of the last cell in the column array no matter which reference cell it reads from.

Same problem as before but I got cut off... I'm trying to create a list of the running total of the number of unique values in column G.
