Need help on how to subtract dates in excel. Whenever I subtract dates on a table the returning value is not the number of days. It returns numbers in date form. Ive tried using the DATEIF function as well and it still does not tell me the days.

The aprt before the middle OR works =IF(OR(ISBLANK(O5),ISBLANK(P5)),"",O5-P5 ) OR IF((ISBLANK(O5),P5="*")),Today() - P5,)
