Hi, I need your help breaking the links in my workbook. I go to data + edit links and do break but it doesn't break! Also before doing this I would like to check on the formulas that have these links! I've searched in the workbook through formulas .xl but excel displays it can't find it

I have an Excel file that, when opened, said it is unable to open certain files that are linked to my file. However, my file contains absolutely zero links that I use. I am unsure where these links exist in the file but when I go to edit links and break them, nothing happens. I believe that the file I am using started as template that may have used links and perhaps that is why that prompt exists but the file I current work in does not use any links and I should not be getting prompted about links when I open it like when it says "We can't update some of the links in your workbook right now."

I have a workbook (A) that has formulas with links to other workbooks (B). In the instance where you move one of these B workbooks to a different folder, workbook A, upon opening, will give you a warning that there's a link that it can't update. It will then open an Edit Links dialog box showing links that exist in the A workbook, and it shows which links are ok, and which aren't. In this dialog box you're given some options of breaking a link, going to the source, etc. But how can you find where in this sheet A is the formula that's the culprit??

I need help updating external links to files stored on a cloud server (e.g. Dropbox). My destination file has update links automatically enabled. When opening the destination file and answering affirmatively to update links, cell information is not updated. Updating link information in Data | Edit links does not work either. However, if the source file is opened, links information in the destination file is automatically updated.
