Hi this is Mounika, When I connect my excel sheet to an external Data Source(SQL SERVER), I couldn't get the correct date format. Even though I change the format of that column to short date I still showing as text. Is there a way to change the date format when I connect to external data source?

I've got a column of date and times displayed as '12/14/18 19:01' but unfortunately they're in the general format so seen as text. I want to convert these to be in date format so I can use them in formulas but I've tried many methods of doing so (such as =datevalue, changing the format etc) but I keep getting the VALUE! error. Please help if you can.
