I need help creating a custom list on excel on my MacBook. There is no "NEW LIST" button when I select custom list for the order I want my data to be sorted in.

Context: Reading and Spelling age score sheet (eg. a student takes a test and it tells them what their 'reading age' is- 14.03 would be 14 years and 3 months). Problem: Need to calculate progress for each student + average progress for each year group. Issues: Have tried converting ages to months using this formula (=12*LEFT(C11,FIND(".",C11)-1)+MID(C11,FIND(".",C11)+1,9)) but ran into various issues (treating .10 as .01 for some reason and producing #VALUE error for scores ending in .00 (presumably because MID function won't work if value below 1) Action: Have gone back to raw data set (attached). Can you help?

I am trying to enter the following formula in Excel, and I am being told that I have entered too many arguments. I thought however the max was 7, which I do not have. Formula entered: =IF(AND((M8>40),(M8<=50)),((M8-40)*O8),IF(M8<=40,0),IF((M8>50),(10*O8))) Purpose is simply to state that if Cell M8 is over 40 but under or equal to 50, then I want to subtract 40 from it, and multiply it by cell O8. If M8 is less than or equal to 40, just enter 0, if M8 is greater than 50, I simply need it to multipy 10 by cell O8.
