Hi, I have copied an example below in which I want to count how many "1" or "1a" "1b" or "1c" appear in row S - i currently use COUNTIF(marksheet name!S$2:$S251,"1?") but that only counts the cells with a a,b,or c at the end not the whole number cells, hope i'm making sense. Hi, I’m wondering if there is a way to use the Count function while assigning different values to different texts. More specifically, I’m trying to log employee sick days and count the total days for every month. They are marked using single letters (S for sick, P for personal, etc.) but sometimes, they are only half days and marked as S 1/2 or P 1/2. The count formula counts these all as 1, but I’m wondering if there is a way I can assign any cell containing 1/2 to be counted only as .5 Thanks!
