We interviewed four people and asked them to identify in 7 fields what their favourite food was. We imported the data from our survey into excel. In our spreadsheet he names of the people were listed in the first column and 7 columns to the right identified their favourite food in each of the seven columns. We would like to know how many times cake, cookies, and other identified foods showed up in our survey.

I am a novice to Macros and I am coming up against a problem that has been troubling me for weeks. I require a macro that will read column a on multiple tabs, of my choosing, and from A2 downwards. Then return the unique text from those cells to a "master tab" in column A from a2 downwards. When the macro runs it should only clear the data in "master tab" from cells A2 down and not all the data, neither should it create a new tab. Not sure this makes sense, I have found multiple ways of merging the data by deleting and recreating the "master tab" but I have formulas in the rest of the sheet so this cannot happen. i need to check one cell if it is not null and has a certain format, ov12345 - if not, it should be shipped and go to the next cell in the same column, D(x+1). if ok, I need cell Ax to be populated with that value written between '', simple quotes, and if the next cell of the same column, D(x+1) is not null, then it has to be followed by , (comma). increase the cell row number D(x+1) until I hit a cell with null content. can you help? thank you very much!

I am trying to work how I can create a conditional formatting on a selected cell when a previous cell has been selected as a certain icon in a list. For Example: When I select my category 'RTW' from the choices in my list in column B, I want it to pick up on column C if I have not entered the right amount of figures in the cell (it needs to be exactly 12 digits). I have a database which has been competed vertically and I am trying to turn it into a horizontal one. I need to copy details and then delete them once information is in the correct column. I thougt I had resolved it, but when I deleted the origianl information, it deleted it from the new cell as well.
